St.
Peter's Theological Institute
The Theological Institute "St. Peter" is an academic institution aggregated
to the Faculty of Theology of the Pontifical Athenaeum "St.
Anselm” in Rome.
Its purpose consists in teaching and study of theology and other
Ecclesiastical sciences, especially Theological Anthropology.
The Institute depends on three institutions: the Diocese of Viterbo, the
Congregation of St Joseph (Giuseppini Murialdo) and religious Province of the
Capuchin friars of Lazio, who primary are the promoters and the main leaders.
It has a public characteristic and has its residence at the Institute "S.
Pietro”.
The curriculum of studies of Theology has two cycles:

I
cycle, institutional, culminating with the academic degree of Baccalaureate,
lasts for three years and is preceded by two years of philosophy as a
condition for access to theological studies;

II cycle
cycle
of training, lasts for two years and ends with the academic degree of
Licentiate in Sacred Theology, with specialization in Theological
Anthropology.
The licentiate is being activated for the first time Academic Year 2008/09.
Classes are held in the afternoons of Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday (from
15.00 to 18.40).
